ERL Wins AT LPT Symposium 2016

Kuala Lumpur, 25th October 2016 – Express Rail Link Sdn. Bhd. (ERL) shined at the recent Land Public Transport (LPT) Gala Dinner 2016 on 16th October 2016 when it won two industry awards for Best Safety Practices and Best Customer Service. The Gala Dinner was organised by Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat (SPAD) in conjunction with its annual LPT Symposium, themed Public Transport: Transforming the Nation.

Accepting the awards on behalf of ERL were the Executive Chairman, YBhg. Tan Sri Mohd. Nadzmi Mohd. Salleh and Mr. Thomas Baake, Chief Executive Officer of ERL Maintenance Support Sdn. Bhd. (E-MAS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ERL. The awards were presented by SPAD Chairman, YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Syed Hamid Syed Jaafar Albar.

Tan Sri Mohd. Nadzmi said, “We are honoured and thrilled to be recognised in these two key areas by SPAD. We have skilled and competent manpower inboth ERL and E-MAS who hold our performance standards to the highest level. Our comprehensive maintenance programme ensures that we strictly adhere to the best safety practices according to industry standards and ultimately, ensures a safe and reliable service for our passengers. We are proud of our 99.7% on-time performance record and are committed to provide the best customer experience.”

The assessment criteria for the Best Safety Practices Award include safety routines, fleet and records maintenance as well as risk management, while for the Best Customer Service Award, the panel of judges assessed each entry on train service availability and reliability, and customer friendliness.

Express Rail Link (ERL) is the operator of KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit train services that connect Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA & KLIA2) and the city. The non-stop journey on KLIA Ekspres between KL Sentral and KLIA takes only 28 minutes. Passengers can continue their journey to KLIA2 which only takes another 3 minutes.
