Statement by ERL

Kuala Lumpur, 13thst April 2016 Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) would like to remind the public that it is illegal for unauthorised persons to enter the track area along ERL’s railway corridor. The entire 57-km rail corridor is fenced but illegal fence-cutting and track crossings still happen.

This reminder is a reference to the recent incident where a man had trespassed and was hit by a KLIA Ekspres train between Bandar Tasik Selatan Station and Putrajaya & Cyberjaya Station on 11th April 2016.

ERL regrets this unfortunate incident and wish to remind the public not to trespass into the railway corridor for their own safety as it is extremely dangerous. Both KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit trains are high speed trains that travel at a speed of 160km/h and are relatively quiet. Please beware the risks of taking a short-cut across the tracks as you may not notice the approaching train until it is too late.
